Oregon Culture Keeper Sarah Barton at nHOTIC

April 24-26: Sarah Barton and Native American basketry, cradleboard-making, and regalia

Throughout the year, Culture Keepers will demonstrate throughout the day with short presentations to guests at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, to share their cultural tradition and training in greater detail. Guests of the Interpretive Center will have a rare opportunity to engage Culture Keepers demonstrating their traditional practice, ask questions and learn.

Brownlee Crappie shootout kayak fishing

Eastern Oregon/Western Idaho Charity Kayak Fishing Tournament on Brownlee reservoir benefiting CASA.

This is a prize driven kayak fishing tournament where net proceeds from entry fees will be donated to the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Eastern Oregon.

First Friday Artwalk

May 1 and June 5

First Friday Art Walk is an exciting opportunity to engage in Baker City’s vibrant art scene. There are at least six galleries and/or businesses participating each month depending on the time of year. Come and enjoy local and regional artists’ work on a walk through town, catch a drink at our fine distillery and microbrews, and eat at a variety of restaurants.
