Plan your June visit to baker – but careful which weekend you choose or you might have fomo.

Get ready for June in Baker – warm weather and sunny days signal the end of Spring and the beginning of so much Summer fun! Gather your friends and family and get your summer started right in Baker.

June 5-7: First Friday & Farmers Market

Check out June’s First Friday Art Walk from 5-8pm, starting at Crossroads Carnegie Arts Center and continuing to Downtown businesses. The Baker City Farmers Market kicks off the season on Saturday. Find them in Central Park 9am-12pm. For those who like to take to the air sign up for a glider ride and soar silently above the Baker Valley!

June 12-14: Big Anniversary Weekend

Celebrate the 28th Anniversary of Barley Brown’s – Baker’s very own award-winning brewery. Enjoy beer, food, cocktails, and music Friday and Saturday!

It’s a big one for the Sumpter Valley Railroad: celebrate 50 years of history, community, and railroading. This family‑friendly event offers a full day of activities designed to delight railfans of all ages and create lasting memories. Can’t make this weekend? The celebrations continues June 20-21.

Be sure to check out Oregon Trail Days on Saturday in Geiser-Pollman Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with family-friendly activities, demonstrations and performances. This year’s event celebrates trail history, as well as the mining, timber and ranching industries.

June 19-21: Arts, Culture, Music

Come early for Third Thursday’s Downtown Sip, Stroll, Shop, Support, and then stay over the weekend to catch the Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre’s production of The Quest for Don Quixote. Or catch Ryan LittleEagle perform at Churchill School. The Oregon Culture Keeper Residency continues this week with H’Klumaiyat-Roberta Kirk, Tenino and Wasq’u Regalia from Warm Springs demonstrating indigenous bead and dentalium work. And you can also get in on the Sumpter Valley Railroad 50th Anniversary Celebration if you couldn’t make the previous weekend.

June 26-28: Cycling, Rodeo, and Car Show

The Baker City Cycling Classic returns for amazing road racing through the iconic vistas of Baker Valley and running right through Downtown Baker City. The Hells Canyon Junior Rodeo in Halfway showcases young talent tackling classic rodeo events. And the Elkhorn Eagles Car Show is the perfect place to show off or discover classic cars of all eras.
