Grand Prize & Tree Lighting at 5 PM
FREE & OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY
The Geiser Grand Hotel is thrilled to invite the Baker City community to a brand-new holiday tradition as we bring the magic of Christmas to the heart of downtown Baker City!
Following a wonderful weekend of holiday activities, we’re planning to make Sunday afternoon the grand finale of Baker City’s holiday kickoff weekend with our Geiser Grand Christmas Open House & Palm Court Tree Lighting.
Step Inside the Magic
From 3–6 PM, the historic Geiser Grand will open its doors to the community for an afternoon filled with Christmas spirit, historic charm and plenty of holiday surprises.
Guests can enjoy:
A spectacular Palm Court Christmas Tree
Christmas music throughout the afternoon
Complimentary hot cocoa, cider and holiday appetizers
Free historic hotel tours every hour
Beautiful holiday photo opportunities throughout the hotel
A family-friendly afternoon for the entire community
Holiday surprises and giveaways
And then, at 5:00 PM, everyone will gather in the Palm Court for the moment we’ve all been waiting for — a community countdown to the lighting of the Geiser Grand’s magnificent Christmas tree!
We can already picture the Palm Court filled with families, friends, visitors and community members as the lights come on and Baker City officially welcomes the Christmas season.
Meet the Geiser Grand’s New Leadership Team
This year’s celebration will also mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Geiser Grand Hotel.
During the Open House, guests will have the opportunity to meet and welcome our new management and leadership team, including our new General Manager, who will be introduced to the Baker City community and help lead the afternoon’s festivities.
It’s a chance for our team to personally meet the people who make Baker City such a special place — local residents, business owners, community leaders and visitors — while sharing our excitement about the future of the Geiser Grand.
And Then… A Very Special Grand Prize!
To help us truly kick off the holiday spirit, along with various other prizes we’re giving one lucky winner an unforgettable Geiser Grand experience.
At the 5:00 PM grand prize drawing, one guest will win:
A FREE STAY IN THE ICONIC GEISER GRAND CUPOLA
PLUS DINNER AT THE GEISER GRAND!
It’s our way of celebrating the community, saying thank you for your continued support and giving someone a little extra Christmas magic.
A Celebration for Baker City
This isn’t simply a hotel event. It’s a community celebration.
We want people to come downtown, bring their families, meet their neighbors, experience one of Baker City’s most historic landmarks and enjoy an afternoon together.
Whether you’re a lifelong Baker City resident, a local business owner, a longtime Geiser Grand guest or visiting town for the holiday weekend, everyone is invited.
We are excited to work alongside BCD and our community partners to make this a memorable addition to Twinkle in Time and help create a holiday experience that people look forward to year after year.
