Old Auburn Town Site

About

An old logging town and elk viewing area

Once the largest settlement in Eastern Oregon, the old logging town of Auburn has been long gone, and it can be hard to imagine the bustling energy of general stores, shops, saloons, brothels, and a hotel that used to be found here.

While remnants of the town are hard to come by, the site can be an excellent spot to explore and watch Rocky Mountain elk and mule deer herds in winter.

ACTIVITIES

Wildlife Viewing

The Old Auburn town site is a great spot for spotting Elk.
